We end our preview of the title contenders for La Liga title with the second club of Madrid, Atletico. Los Colchoneros have emerged from mediocrity to being a top club in European football since the arrival of legendary former player Diego Simeone as a head manager in 2011. The Argentine has turned around the club, and inserted some of his toughness and aggression that he was known for in his days as a player to the club, making them a tough match for every opponent they face. Despite the loss of a major star in almost every summer in recent years, the likes of Falcao and Diego Costa, Simeone is always able to replace them with adequate players who fit in the team’s collective style of play. The team have had a rough start to the season, drawing their first two games, but it’s still very early in the season and you can count on Simeone to uplift his team and make them competitive in this long La Liga season.

La Liga Title Race: Who Should Be The Favorite? Part 2

We continue our three part series about the title contenders in Spain. This time we’ll analyze the squad of Real Madrid C.F. and the changes they’ve made. We’re used to seeing Real Madrid, and its flashy president Florentino Perez, be very active in the transfer window, with at least one galactic signing each summer. However, the unthinkable might actually happen this summer, and Real Madrid will for the first time start the season without signing a major player for the fans to look forward to, barring of course an unlikely surprise happening in the final day of the transfer market. Looks like El Presidente is quite happy with the squad the club has, and he has good reason to feel that way, as we’ll shortly explain.
